Music In Bournemouth & Poole

The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra have got your Valentines Day plans sorted! On Saturday 14 February, head down to the Lighthouse, Poole for an evening of romantic classical music, conducted by Calleva Assistant Conductor Enyi Okpara, featuring Pianist, Thomas Luke.

Celebrate Valentine’s Day with an evening of luscious symphonic classics offering some of the most romantic melodies ever written. The concert features the sensuous slow movements from three of the finest concertos for piano and Richard Addinsall’s Warsaw Concerto, as well as love themes from silver screen masterpieces by Ennio Morricone, James Horner and John Williams Also included is Wagner’s musical love letter and Tchaikovsky’s passionate overture to Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers, Romeo and Juliet. This concert is part of their BSO Pops series – this fantastic array of concerts include popular classics that you will recognize from TV and adverts to full- blown symphonic Spectaculars showcasing the music of the likes of Queen, ABBA and Pink Floyd and outdoor extravaganzas at Meyrick Park in Bournemouth. They also perform regular film music nights which feature some of the best movie classics ever written and an annual feast of Christmas and New Year seasonal treats.
