1. Twelve Eatery, Central Bournemouth

Located in the trendy Triangle part of Bournemouth, Twelve Eatery is a lux organic restaurant and cold-pressed juice bar. These juices make the ideal foundation for some rather splendid cocktails, including the Basil Luchador and Carrot Gimlet. Not to be out-done, the wines are also organic and the beautifully presented food is even served with compostable napkins. This is all to be enjoyed in a chilled-out atmosphere paired with excellent service.

2. Mad Cucumber Vegan Lounge, Central Bournemouth

Also located in the Triangle, the Mad Cucumber has been serving delicious organic food in a warm and comfortable atmosphere since 2013. Sourced from mainly local suppliers, they aim to cater for a range of allergens and intolerances and are happy to cater for any specific dietary requirements.

There is a specials board updated daily and they bake delicious cakes which you can also pre-order for special occasions.


3. Mighty Weiners, Central Bournemouth

Our final Bournemouth Triangle entry, Mighty Weiners serves deliciously decadant burgers, hot dogs and much more, that just happens to be 100% vegan. The menu is inspired by the owners’ travels to the US and further afield and they endeavour to make everything on site, where possible, and to support local businesses and the planet.

Their relaxed eatery includes a small garden too.


4. Plant Hustler, Boscombe, Bournemouth

For something totally new and contemporary, go and visit this vegan burger joint 10 minutes east of Bournemouth in edgy Boscombe. Here they serve a variety of different patties such as spinach and quinola, moving moutains, crispy gluten-free BBQ jackfruit and seitan fried chicken all in a vegan brioche bun.

The decor is very cool and decidely urban, with spray-painted walls and compelling graffiti art. Many reasons to try this unique burger bar.


5. Miiko Everyday Nourishment, Whitecliff, Poole

A sophiscated vegetarian and vegan café a short walk from Ashley Cross, Miiko specialises in ‘everyday nourishment’ and offers massages and yoga in addition to healthy food and drinks. The staff are very friendly and helpful and enabling you reconnect with your inner zen during your visit.

6. Kind Kitchen, Boscombe, Bournemouth

Run by a mother and daughter team, Kind Kitchen is a raw food café with a Buddist theme that takes pride in serving serves organic and deliciously nutrious breakfasts and lunches.

Amongst the goodies you can try a an Indian ‘soul bowl’, a large wooden bowl filled with tasty salads, raw banoffee pie and homemade almond milk. In addition to this, they sell fresh hearty-looking vegetables and run raw food classes in Bournemouth town centre.


7. Happy Hippie Vegan Shack, Charminster, Bournemouth

Located in a studenty suburb of Charminster is perfect for a quick meal out and about. This no-frills pop-up bistro serves well-priced vegan food, including a great vegan english breakfast and chuna (chickpea) mayo and hoi sin mock duck wraps. It has an outside area for warm weather too.


8. The Crow Spotter Café, Hinton, Christchurch

A short drive into the charms of the New Forest brings you to the relaxing restorative hub, The Retreat, and two fantastic plant eateries. The Crow Spotter serves locally sourced, organic and creative dishes which are delicious within a calm and sophisticated atmosphere. You can also buy their own unique blend of coffee and some of the events at The Retreat include a meal from this delightful café.


9. Offbeet Restaurant, Hinton, Christchurch

Located next door to the Crow Spotter is the acclaimed Offbeet Restaurant which was placed in the ‘Top 30 Veggie Restaurants in UK’ in The Times and rated 9/10 in The Sunday Telegraph. Founder Peter Axworthy aims to break the vegan food stereotypes by creating food that savoured by all.

As well as the restaurant, you can attend classes at the cookery school and buy almond parmesan and coconut bacon from their deli. Well worth the trip.
